Job description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Lead as a Business Partner Head for Turkey. Act as a facilitator and influencer on strategic HR topics. Manage and lead the HR team in the market covering domains like HRM, Rewards, Recruitment, Internal Communication and Corporate Social Responsibility. Provide the best HR solutions to attract, develop, motivate and retain the best people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a high level of communication with Management and Sr. Managers in the Market to contribute to the decision-making process of structuring and developing the team for the organization.
  • Ensure that all aspects of staffing, employee relations, performance management and compensation & benefits for all employees of the market and location are delivered timely and in accordance with relevant local labor and commercial legislation, in line with corporate guidelines, the global policy manual and best industry practices
  • Continuously evaluate and update the market pool for candidates, drive strategic sourcing of talent innovatively while ensuring smooth processes for talent acquisition including hiring the Senior Management team of the market
  • Own the personnel budget and its impact on contribution numbers for the entire organization, brand wise
  • Work closely with the CoE Rewards team to promote and develop overall compensation & benefit programs and ensure proper implementation. Ensure framework for local compensation programs based upon Global Salary Management System and local benefits programs in line with corporate guidelines
  • Manage annual salary rounds and promotions for defined areas in accordance with GSMS-process and collaboration with the CoE Rewards
  • Lead the tax practice for the Market for local and expat employees
    • Drive tax related structures and discussions esp. with Expat leaders in the Market , wherein the tax structure is extremely complex in Turkey.
    • Evaluate and decide on change in salary structure due to the impact of fiscal annual budget and reforms in the country
    • Implement the best compensation structure - tax and employee friendly
  • Lead the regulatory discussions with related bodies
    • The backdrop of fraud and uncertainly requires this position to sustain discussions with Government and regulatory authorities to showcase processes, payroll management and principles of people management
    • Due to separate legal entities for adidas, there is heavy local statutory reporting and compliance related subject matters
  • Ensure high employee engagement at every level through effective motivation, coaching, training, and development of personnel in the team.
  • Lead employee engagement through customized design platforms, lead R2A plan in Market
    • Study trends , issues , organization climate manifestations before creating and implementing new processes and programs
  • Lead Strategic HR Projects to drive maximum business value :
    • Set up of Own Retail in Turkey: Set the foundation ( HR policies , processes , standards , procedures, Job descriptions, hiring strategy ) for new model - Eg Own retail may be set up in Turkey depending on Government policies on this subject
  • Being a growth market, expansion and consolidation will go hand in hand, requiring expertise and skill in managing higher authority and influencing / coaching middle managers to take correct business decisions
  • Ensure relevance of content and mode of internal communication to all employees on organization topics
  • Lead the organization in steering support to corporate social responsibility programs and driving awareness and sensitization among employees towards the cause

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have the ability to interact at the highest levels of the company
  • An acute sense of business management and administration
  • A strong and dedicated understanding towards the Group and customers' needs
  • MS-Office skills, SAP experience is a plus
  • Experience in managing complex mid to large size projects within HR
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree from educational entity focusing on Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Personnel Administration or related field
  • At least 8-10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources Management of multinational company with experience in HR Management & Rewards
  • Experience in handling complicated employee relations issues including union drives/organizing attempts, discrimination claims, sexual harassment investigations and downsizing.
  • Experience in leading HR team on acquisition/divestiture and integration of a new organization is a plus.
  • This position should be a logical successor to Director HR
